Business and SM Simulation Games Facilitation
Professional Business/IT Service Management Simulations, or serious games, are interactive workshops in which teams of employees work on challenging issues within a simulated environment. The environment can be the same or a totally different context to the ‘normal’ working environment. In a simulation each participant will play a role and has specific tasks, responsibilities and authority. Simulations are a great and fun-filled workshops that stimulate problem resolution and increase information retention rate to up to 90%. They promote teamwork, communication and inter-group coordination.
Below is a table listing available games, and the disciplines they support.

The services are too unpredictable, unrepeatable, expensive and pose unacceptable business risks. The IT organization is still not Customer or Service focused. This simulation will help translate ITSM theory into practice, create buy-in and capture concrete improvement actions, helping to realize a customer focused culture and improve service quality. |

DevOps seems to be the latest ‘buzzword’ and trend in the IT industry. Driven by the business need for ever faster deployment of new functionality and frustration with the time and effort it takes to get new systems into Operations. It is no longer a question of ‘should we adopt DevOps’, but ‘when and how’. However, DevOps represents a significant cultural and behavioural change and many organizations fail to address this in their adoption. This game can be used to help explore and understand DevOps, and to identify and agree concrete actions for adopting and deploying DevOps practices. |

Agile Service Management |
To fulfil all the demands of the customer, IT Teams must deliver fast, reliable, safe, error free solutions. IT needs to be flexible and continuously learn and improve services and capabilities, in small steps, to ensure continued alignment with customer needs.
IT nowadays is increasingly dependent on an eco-system of partners and suppliers who in turn, must also be aligned and flexible to changing needs. Working in multifunctional teams is required for some types of IT work, to share knowledge, reduce hand-offs, prevent mis-communication and ensure all are aligned to realizing customer needs and to increasing the flow of work. This workshop provides participants the opportunity to safely experiment with this changing IT landscape and experience the benefits of Agile and Lean IT.  Aspects that participants will experience and discuss during the simulation include but are not limited to: How to create high performing teams, visualizing IT work using a KanBan board, how to improve workflow and avoid bottlenecks, integrating vendors within the service value stream, how to become increasingly customer focused organisation, flexible and able to respond quickly to changing business demands, How to effectively manage workloads, and how to bring Development and Operations to working closely with each other. Can the teams ‘end-to-end’ respond rapidly to deploy a manageable solution? |

Between 60 – 80% of projects fail to realize the required results. This is not due to the lack of education or theoretical concepts, but it is due to either an inability to translate theory into practice, or to a lack of ‘right behaviours’ within the team. If you want to learn how to translate theory into practice, assess your project behaviour and processes, and identify how to improve your project management performance, this simulation can help.
If you want to learn how to apply AGILE principles. If you want to learn how to create real Customer Value. |
